This book makes the horrors of war so real as the author tells the stories of these young Marines. Gives me a brand new appreciation for their courage, the hardships, pain, suffering and death they experienced. Sad that anyone must go through this but I’m thankful for their sacrifice. I hope we never forget.
Courage and bravery are highlighted in these stories of fighting against overwhelming and impossible odds. Good reads if you're interested in combat stories about soldiers who, in most cases, gave up their lives to save there fellow brother-in-arms.
A few good men to say the least. Finally now Americans honor Vietnam vets. I was always ashamed of civilians calling them baby killers. We owe them so much.
Unparalled insight as to the sacrifice and love of country and God that so many gave so that we have the freedom of nowhere else.... at least, for a while. Never Forget,
This is a MUST READ book. This book captured the horror and what really happened in Vietnam. If you have been hearing story's of how inhuman OUR boy were it's about time you got the real story! The Real Truth. The Baby Killer's were the VA and the NVA not Americans. I know some of these coward here tried to blame the American Soldiers, calling them Barbarians and Baby Killers, on and on. Read this book and get educated to the truth of every day life for the American Soldiers.
Like the way many of these men’s stories overlap.Turn your imagination up, dive in with an open mind and you just mayfeel a small fraction of what it was like for these men.
Enjoyable Fast moving and very informative of how war was in Vietnam.
Really good set of real life stories! Dramatic moments about ordinary people doing extra-ordinary actions.
