I got this book in combination with "How To "Ace" The Physician Assistant School Interview."About 4 weeks before my interview I read these two books religiously. These books will help you highlight your best qualities.It helped me organize my answers and taught me a lot about do's and don't's of the interview itself.With these two books, I felt overly prepared during my interviews... When I started talking to my interviewers it felt more like a conversation to me.I GOT INTO PA SCHOOL TWO DAYS AFTER MY INTERVIEW!

The copyright says 2011, but I actually expected it to be more like 90s. The books seems very out of date, particularly with the financials he talks about. All in all the book is around 85% common sense material, and then a few useful tidbits. I found the section on the interviews to be interesting and nice to read.There's nothing wrong with reading this book - it's a quick read and doesn't hurt, but I don't recommend getting a copy unless you find a really cheap deal.

I bought three books to help me navigate the application process, and this was by far the best. It accurately describes what to expect in most of your interviews, but most importantly, gives insight to what interviewers are looking for when they ask certain questions. Also has great tips for writing essays (both for supplemental apps and for CASPA). The list of schools in the back needs to be updated-- would be nice if they also listed which schools only have provisional status. Overall a great book and very helpful.

Overall information seems appropriate for the physician assistant process. One major flaw to the presented information is that is was current as of 2009. Be mindful of the somewhat outdated information and this book is a fine resource.

BEST BOOK EVER WRITTEN. If you want to go to PA school, buy this first because it taught me a lot that I did not know I needed to know. I wish I'd read this before I'd gone on my first few interviews. These tips are priceless.

Great comprehensive book, but I felt most of the content I had already learned from google, forums, my college advisor etc. There were a few tips in the book that I didn't previously know. but overall anyone approaching the application stage probably won't benefit much from this book. I would recommend for high schoolers who have expressed interest in the field.

My wonderful wife is studying to be a PA. She says this is great information for anyone interested. I'll have to take her word for it since I'm a knuckle dragging Marine and have no business practicing medicine on anyone ;).

I read it all, modified my answers to each school and what fit best for me and I was able to be accepted the first time I applied
